Is this a sensible approach for an outgoing email or would it be simpler or better to export data to (say) a word doc as an attachment?
Can you use XML with a stylesheet to format content to send email via an smtp server?
can you? yes!
is it sensible? Probably not,
XSL could prep the file, and make it into smtp format, you could even make a script to interface with sendmail.
As a class assignment it sounds like fun, as a real life solution, it would be painful.
