I m getting the exception for unknown smtp hostname in my email server project using jsp javamail package..?

i m implementing the project for sending and receiving the email from internet using jsp and javamail packages. and i m getting the exception for unknown hostname.. while i m giving yahoo.com

I m getting the exception for unknown smtp hostname in my email server project using jsp javamail package..?
Yahoo.com is a web site, not an SMTP server. SMTP is the outgoing mail server (for sending), and the server is normally in the format of 'smtp.charter.net'. I don't know Yahoo's email setup, because I don't use Yahoo mail, but it shouldn't be difficult to find out. If you have Windows/Outlook email set up to work with Yahoo, check those settings.

Reply:For the present problem HandyMans Answer will serve ur purpose. If u face further problem with JavaMail u may mail me. I have fairly good exposure of JavaMail API. I shall like to help u in coding though my reply will be usually a little late.
